i want to order this handgun this week ( od green and black ). i'm new and would be interested in your views. it's not that i'm a bad shot, 19+1 cap. just want to covered if the zombie has 19 friends coming over the hill, or worse, obama's awb comes over the hill close behind. Shocked

I have one in 9mm and .40 S&W. Hell, I even traded a Sig P239 SAS to get the .40. Shocked Very Happy IMHO they are very nice pistols and have a great stock trigger. If you are looking for a full size semi-auto I think they are a great choice.
Here is a link to my two on the XD Talk forum. They are at the top of the page. The XDm section of the forum is a great resource for the pistol.

Mine hasn't jammed in over 500 rounds so far. Only buy quality ammo.
I shoot the .45, bought the 9mm for my wife. For the money I think it is a great value. I'm still a 1911 fan though.

I have shot about 2000 rounds through mine, not one problem. Its one of the best handguns I own.

The youtube video says he changed out the recoil spring and guide rod, I'm sure that plus whatever ammunition was being used is probably the cause of the jamming.

I had a chance to hold one last weekend. Not a bad gun, fairly comfortable and it comes with a hell of a lot of accessories (two extra grips, holster, mag pouch, speedloader, cleaning kit). The price at my local shop was $650 but you can find them on the internet for roughly $100 less.

I think the most selling point to me was this article: http://springfield-armory.primediaoutdoors.com/SPstory11.php

20,000 rounds with minimal cleaning, after being dropped from 10+ft heights onto concrete, buried in sand and dirt, and tossed into a tub full of water and frozen for a week. Zero malfunctions.

If you can find a range that has a rental, it might be worth trying a few rounds of ammo through to see if you can get along with the trigger setup. Some people love it, some people hate it. The other thing to consider is that the bore axis is slightly higher than comparable guns, which can lead to a little bit more muzzle flip.
