Just picked one up today and shot it. I was very impressed with the accuracy, better than my P229R. The sights were dead on nuts and the recoil was nil. A guy next to me was discouraged because the Glock 19 he just got was all over the place and he was being hard on himself thinking his shooting sucked. I handed him my new SP2022 with hand loaded 147gr Hornady Match bullets. His first three shots blew out the bullseye at 15 yards and he about crapped his pants. Then I told him I got it for $499 with night sights included. I think he's bringing the Glock back tomorrow- |

The SP2022 is one of the most underrated pistols ever made. I don't know why it hasn't caught on.I had a chance to buy one several years ago for something less than $400 and passed on it. Been kicking myself in the fourth point of contact ever since.
BTW, I think Sig still sells conversion kits if you get the urge to try .40 SW. _________________ __________________________

The 2022 has been a real sleeper of a gun. I've had mine for over a year love it. IMHO I think it's a better pistol than the P229. I've shot over 1,000 rounds of duty .40 and never had a problem. I do get a lot of"what's that" . From what I understand the French purchased 250,000 of them to replace the Beretta and the US Army bought 5,000 in 9mm.
It's a decent pistol for around $500.00 bucks. _________________ Tragedy is like lightening. It can strike twice and you usually see it before you hear it. |

Never shot a Sig Pro. Been interested in them for a while but money's always been too tight and the gun hasn't been on the top of my list. I was going to sell my M9 for one but I recently bought a Cx4 in 9mm to take the same mags as my M9, so I don't want to get rid of that gun. I put way too much money into my guns as it is; my GF thinks that I love them more than her. Still I'd love to give the Pro a whirl. I held one a few months back at Gander Mountain and really liked it. It was a 9mm. _________________ "When all is said and done, more is said than done" |

I just had to post this pic of my target from Sat. because of how impressed I am with my relatively inexpensive gun. After warming up at 15 yards, I shot 30/30 @ 25 yards on a 11 x 13 inch target, unsupported, alternating standing and kneeling 5 rounds at a time. I absolutely love this SP2022 and being that I bought two more this past month confirms that. For $500 this pistol is awesome! Everyone needs to own this gun. It makes me look like a great shooter
